After the successful launch of the tournament and the first two editions played in 2024 and 2025, Masterpiece - 3. Labin Disc Golf Challenge returns with its third edition, which will take place on 9 and 10 May 2026 in Labin and Rabac. This international disc golf tournament is organised by Lagoda Disc Golf and the Vall Tours travel agency, with the support of the Labin - Rabac Tourist Board and the Dubrova Sculpture Park. We expect 50 to 70 players from Croatia and neighbouring countries to participate.

The official tournament accommodation is at Valamar Sanfior Hotel & Casa, located directly on the Adriatic coast, only 15 minutes’ drive from the course. Thanks to the tournament date, the bravest participants will have the opportunity to enjoy a swim in the sea alongside the competition, as the water might already be warm enough at that time of year.
What makes the tournament special is its unique location within the Dubrova Sculpture Park, where players can enjoy a blend of sport and art, creating an unforgettable experience for participants and visitors. The tournament offers a great opportunity to promote disc golf, while also showcasing the natural and cultural attractions of this area.

Format of Play
The competition will be played in the following format:
| Round | Group formation |
|---|---|
| 1 | Groups will be formed with mixed divisions and skill tiers based on PDGA rating. We will try not to place players from the same clubs / countries in the same groups in Round 1, so that through the game they can socialise with players they do not see regularly. |
| 2 | Groups formed based on Round 1 results, mixed divisions |
| 3 | Groups formed based on Round 2 results, without mixing divisions |
In Round 1, all groups are planned to have a maximum of 4 players. In Rounds 2 and 3, it is possible that some groups will have 5 players (players rated above 900), some 4, and some 3 (players rated below 750), in order to balance the pace of play and ensure the round lasts approximately the same duration for all players.
Course
The course where the Masterpiece tournament is played is located in the unique setting of the Dubrova Sculpture Park. Most holes run through open terrain with occasional trees, but without dense bushes, making it accessible for beginners and children as well. The course’s special charm comes from the proximity of the sculptures, created as part of the sculpture colony, around which the holes are carefully laid out. Alongside technically demanding elements such as basket placements and teeing areas that require precise throws, the course also offers a variety of challenges through uphill and downhill shots on several holes. This combination of openness and technical details makes the course interesting and challenging for players of all levels.
The 18-hole course is set within the Dubrova Sculpture Park. (Google location), and the planned layout is expected to match the one used in the 2024 tournament, with only minimal changes.
You can download the 2024 course map and Caddie Book as a PDF from this page.
The course map and Caddie Book for 2025 will be available during April / April.
The baskets used will be Disc Golf Park targets.
Teepads will be prepared with artificial turf carpet.

Other information
Communication with participants
A WhatsApp group will be created for communication with participants, and players will be able to join via a link that will be sent to them by email.
Joining the WhatsApp group is optional, but during the tournament all announcements (schedule changes, groups for Rounds 1, 2 and 3, etc.) will be shared exclusively through that group.
Through this group, participants can let us know if they are running late to the players’ meeting, if they have lost or found something on the course, etc., and participants can also communicate with each other (for example, to arrange a practice round together, go for dinner, or similar).
Lunch during the tournament
Lunch on Saturday will not be organised and is not included in the entry fee.
Depending on participants’ interest, we may arrange space at a nearby restaurant or café, but this will be communicated to registered participants shortly before the tournament.
Parking
Parking spaces are available near the course (Google Maps location). Parking is free of charge.
Toilet
There is no infrastructure or toilet at the course. At least one portable toilet will be provided for tournament participants.
Weather
You can follow the weather forecast for Labin on the Yr.no website. In case of bad weather, you can also monitor the lightning radar or the precipitation radar.
Expected weather conditions in mid-May in the Labin area are warm spring temperatures, and we hope the conditions for holding the tournament and playing will be exactly that.
Photos and social media
All photos taken at the tournament will be added at the end of each day to the Google Photos Album, and you are welcome to download and use them for social media.

Side activities
Ace Pool
All players who wish to participate may pay 1€ in cash, which will be placed into a dedicated box. A player must pay the 1€ before the start of Round 1 to participate in the Ace Pool. If a player hits an ace but did not pay into the ace pool before the start of Round 1, they are not eligible for the prize.
A player who hits an ace during the tournament wins the entire Ace Pool prize fund. If two or more players hit an ace at the same tournament, they split the Ace Pool.
If no player hits an ace, the Ace Pool carries over to the next Lagoda tournament up to a maximum of 100€, and continues to carry over until it is won.
If the carried-over Ace Pool exceeds 100€, any amount above 100€ is separated from the Ace Pool and allocated to a fund for course improvements and to support disc golf development.
This box is used at all tournaments organised by Lagoda Disc Golf, and the current amount will be announced before the tournament.
Overachiever
This award is given to the player who plays the tournament with the highest average above their rating (based on current ratings on the PDGA website).
All tournament participants with a PDGA number and active membership are eligible and must have at least 20 rated rounds included in their rating.

The trophy and graphic elements of the tournament are inspired by the sculpture "Between Heaven and Earth", located next to the basket on Hole 1, created by academic sculptor Slavomir Drinkovic at the Mediterranean Sculpture Symposium in 1993.
