Attractive location
Our destination is Labin, a historic mining town of around 10,000 residents, with a walled old town perched on a hill above the Adriatic Sea, charming visitors with its narrow streets and picturesque views. From the town viewpoints, you can enjoy beautiful panoramas of the Kvarner Bay, or the green interior of the Istrian Peninsula.

Seaside accommodation
Just 15 minutes’ drive from the course, Rabac is where the official tournament hotel, Sanfior, is located right on the seafront. Exceptional accommodation rates are secured for participants (and accompanying persons).
A stay with a rich breakfast and an excellent dinner for two people (one double room) costs only 134 €, and you will also have unlimited access to the outdoor and indoor pools, saunas, and jacuzzi. Considering everything included, staying at the official hotel is without a doubt a “best buy”.

A fun disc golf course blending sport and art
The Dubrova Sculpture Park, where a temporary 18-hole course is set up, offers a unique playing environment, while at the same time allowing you to enjoy artworks created at sculpture workshops that have been held here since 1969.
The course combines longer and shorter holes, and carefully placed tees and baskets add technical challenge, making it equally fun for experienced players and beginners.
Disc golf
More than just sport
Alongside the competition itself, participants have the opportunity to enjoy a rich selection of tourist activities – from visiting local sights, tasting top-quality wines and olive oils, to relaxing with a swim in the crystal-clear Adriatic Sea or sunbathing in the warm May sunshine. The official tournament programme also includes the option of a group visit to a nearby winery, brewery, or similar attractive destination, giving participants a complete Istria experience.

Participation in the tournament is open to everyone – women, children, and beginners. The organisers place special emphasis on ensuring quality conditions for participants from underrepresented groups in disc golf, giving them the opportunity to enjoy the sport and compete on equal terms.

Competition

The Masterpiece tournament is played as a PDGA Tier C event. There is no cash payout at the tournament, and we do not offer all AM/Pro and age-based divisions.

Our guiding idea when organising the tournament is to provide players with an unforgettable disc golf experience, where side activities are just as important as the game itself. Instead of focusing on cash payouts, as is common in the USA and many other countries with a more developed disc golf scene, our goal is to create a tournament that encourages participation out of pure love for the sport, personal enjoyment, or PDGA rating improvement.

To reduce competitive pressure and create a more relaxed atmosphere, we place emphasis on community and enjoying the game. We believe this creates better conditions for the growth of the sport and for building friendships among players.

Tournament divisions

  • MPO (mixed open division)
  • FPO (women’s open division)
  • Rating-based divisions for all genders:
    • Red (rating up to 900)
    • Green (rating up to 850)
    • Purple (rating up to 800)

Mixed PDGA rating-based divisions are designed so that players of similar skill levels can build connections, while still leaving room for competitive spirit and the fight for the division win. The absence of cash prizes further contributes to a more relaxed and fun atmosphere.

For players under 18, we will open dedicated junior divisions, depending on interest, regardless of the number of registered participants. Junior divisions will be offered for each age group from MJ06/FJ06 to MJ18/FJ18, if at least one competitor registers.
