Triple Bogey Tour 2023

The Triple Bogey Tour is a series of three tournaments with a slightly different concept compared to the usual tournaments that we have been organizing for the past 10 years. In these three tournaments, the emphasis will be on an easier course, a more casual approach to the competition and the organization of side events.

All three events of the Triple Bogey Tour 2023 take place exclusively in PDGA color categories that are open to both genders:
- Purple (players rated up to 800)
- Green (players rated up to 850)
- Order (players rated up to 900)
- Gold (all players rated above 900)

Although there are two more categories White (rating up to 935) and Blue (rating up to 970), given the expected smaller number of players rated over 900 at this year's tournaments, we did not offer those categories, so all players rated above 900 shall participate in the highest Gold category.

A player who was eligible to participate in a certain category in the first event of the tour (eg someone with a rating of 846 sufficient for Green) can participate in that same category in all three events of the tour, even if his/her rating in the meantime exceeds the category limit.

At the same time, each player can play in a higher rating category if he/she so chooses (eg someone with a rating of 730 can play Purple, but also any other category, etc.)

On the other hand, a player who has a rating of, for example, 870, cannot play Purple or Green, but only Red or Gold.

Players who are not members of the PDGA and do not have a rating can play the Purple category only if they have not played PDGA tournaments so far, or they have played PDGA tournaments and the last 6 rounds played are not worth more than 800 rating points on average. If those rounds are worth more than 800 then they can play the Green, Red or MPO / FPO category. A player who does not have a rating and has more than 850 rating points in the last 6 rounds cannot play the Green category, but can play Red or MPO / FPO.

For the categories Green, Red and Gold, 5€ is allocated from each registration fee paid into the category prize fund, and after the last event, the best placed 25% of players for each category will receive cash prizes (or the equivalent value in goods) according to the distribution table.

In the Purple category (where a lower registration fee is paid), there will be no distribution of prizes for the best 25% of players, but only the top 5 participants in the overall standings will receive prizes.

The Triple Bogey Tour consists of 3 tournaments that are played according to the following schedule:
1st round - Ringin' RakiChains, Murska Sobota, Slovenia, April 22-23. – info
2nd round - Blooming Hills, Toplice Sveti Martin, Croatia, May 20-21 - info and registration
3rd round - Spring Forester, Varaždin, Croatia, June 17-18 - info and registration

Overall standings
For the overall standings, each player wins points according to their placement in a particular competition, i.e. 1 point for first place, 2 points for second place, etc.

In the ranking, those players who have fewer points won are better, and theoretically the best result of the entire tour is 3 points, for a player who won all three tournaments in his category.

All those players who do not participate in one of the competitions will receive automatic points, as many points as there were players who competed in their category (including players who did not finish the tournament, but started playing in the first round) plus 3 additional places . For example if 7 players played in the tournament, the player who did not participate will receive 10 automatic points.
