Spa Hills is a tournament that will be played on July 23 and 24, 2022 in Toplice Sveti Martin, and offers all participants the opportunity to combine competition at the course where the 2018 European Championship was played with a vacation within the Terme Sveti Martin resort. Concept of play
The competition will take place in the following format:
Round 1 - groups will be formed with mixed categories and strength groups determined according to PDGA rating.
Round 2 - groups formed by the result, with mixing of categories
Round 3 - groups formed by result, without mixing categories
It is also an option to play the 2nd round in a way that groups are formed according to the result, but to mix separately men's categories (MPO, MA3 and MA4), and separately women's categories (FPO, FA3 and FA4), but the decision will be made 10 days before the tournament, after contacting all registered female players and hearing what they would prefer.
For round one we will adjust the groups, as much as possible, in such way so that you play with people who are not from your city, club or country, e.g. to give you a chance to meet some new disc golfers.
The official accommodation of the tournament is in the Hotel Terme, which has 151 modern hotel rooms and 6 luxury suites surrounded by untouched nature, and in the Apartment Resort Regina, which is an ideal choice for a family vacation, socializing or going on vacation with a pet. In the Apartment complex Regina there are standard and family apartments located 250 meters from the disc golf course.
You can download the accommodation price list in a PDF document from this page.
The apartments are equipped with facilities that every home has, and a pleasant and warm interior what makes any visitors feels like at home.
Standard apartments consist of a living room and one bedroom. In the bedroom there is a double bed, while in the living room there is a sofa bed that can accommodate one person.
Family apartments consist of a living room, a bedroom with a double bed and a second bedroom with two single beds. In the living room there is a sofa bed that can accommodate one person.
Also, all players who book accommodation through Lagoda, have the opportunity to leave the apartment / room late on Sunday afternoon, unless it is not possible because new guests come to the same apartment / room that day. We will give a late check-out confirmation to everyone on Saturday, the first day of the tournament.
Accommodation in an official hotel or apartments is not obligatory, so participants can book some other accommodation options themselves.
The 18-hole course is designed as temporary on a golf course and the surrounding forests, thus combining shorter, technical forest holes with open fairways.
The course uses set of 9 baskets used for a permanent course produced in Croatia (but in a different layout from the permanent setup), and in addition to them, 2-3 more Lagoda baskets will be used, while remaining baskets we'll use will be Disc Golf Park targets.
Tee pads used on all holes will be artificial turf. Some tee pads, the ones at the ball golf course, are very large, while others, on the temporary part of the course are in varying dimensions.
There is a possibility that on one hole (hole 2) the grass will be a bit higher, as that area is not owned by the resort, while the rest of the course will be in perfect shape.
You can download the course map on this page in PDF format.
This layout has been played in several tournaments so far, and the current course records for men is 52 (-6) played by three players in different tournaments - Leon Sonnleitner (rating 1015), Stanislaus Amann (rating 1013) and Nino Đurak (rating 1001), while record for women is 62 (+4) achieved by Andreja Bernjak (rating 920) and Ana Gorički (rating 905).
