Disc golf is a sport similar to the traditional ball golf with the difference that instead using a club (bat) to hit a ball, players throw special flying disc (“Frisbee”) and try to hit the disc golf basket. The basic equipment needed to play is plastic or rubber disc, which are produced in different weights and with different flight characteristics. Rookie player, for recreational play, needs only two basic discs that can be purchased in Croatia at a price ranging from 65kn (~9€) to 130kn (~17€).

    Conventional disc golf course consists of 18 holes, but it is common to have smaller courses with 9 or 12 holes. To play one round on the 18-hole course it takes about 2 to 3 hours - depending on the skills players have and the number of people playing in the group.
